This better not be a JINX

I have waited over a month to make the announcement but I do believe that Brendan is potty trained! I am over the moon with excitement. We still have the occasional accident but he has been an absolute super star with it from the start. But could someone please explain to me why even after business is taken care of he insists on reading on the toilet? Sometimes he will sit there for 10 minutes before I have to physically remove him from his reading place. Must be a male gene shinning through.

Easter

Let me start by saying how difficult it is to 1. get the kids dressed up and staying clean for more then 5 minutes and 2. trying to get them to hold still long enough for a picture without posing or trying to be cute for the camera. Uggghhhh! I think I did get a few good shots, well not good but ok, well at least I tried.
We had a nice uneventful easter. Candy in the morning followed by church.
Hugs.

Pajamas and Pancakes

Boy it seems like we had quite the party while daddy was away. While Steve was gone I decided to take the kids to IHOP for breakfast. We had never been and Brendan is a huge fan of pancakes so I thought it would be great. I told MG about my idea to go out to breakfast first thing in the morning, and she asked if they could go in their pajamas. I thought you know what why not. It just seemed like a great opportunity for a potential fun memory for them. It was an extra special treat because with the Dr. Seuss movie coming out they had special pancakes with pink and blue sauce and candy all over them with a lolli pop stuck in the middle. We all had a great time, but the sugar crash that came around 10 that morning I can assure you was no fun.

Madison the Photographer

While daddy was away my mom and dad were awesome enough to come down for a visit and help out with the kids (believe me I needed it). This is just a cute picture that Madison took of us. I omitted the 2 she took with out our heads. :)

Fly Boy

We are very lucky that where we live there are lots of great things for kids to do with in an hour or less drive time. While daddy was away in New Orleans doing work for Habitat for Humanity the kids and I took a trip to the Smithsonian Udvar Huvey Air and Space museum. I really like this museum because it is close and smaller. The kids have no trouble walking around on there own and there are never a lot of people so I don't feel nervous letting them wander. We especially like the space ships (space shuttle) and of course the Stealth bomber which is also daddys favorite. They recently added a small plane that the kids can climb into and sit in. Madison wasn't overly interested, but Brendan was happy to give it a try. Maybe we have a future pilot on our hands.

All you can do is Laugh

So the kids and I were upstairs getting ready for bed and Brendan starts poking at my boob. I gently tell him that its not ok to touch my boobs and that girls do not like that. He proceeded to tell me that boys like boobs. What can I say to that. Really all you can do is laugh. For better or worse I do think that he was talking about his own chest at the time. :) It just keeps getting more interesting every day.
