Adventures with the Bunny

Ahhh, the fun that comes with trying to get that perfect holiday picture. So, we decided to meet friends at the mall for Easter Bunny pics and some all around good fun. MG was very excited to go see the bunny and was looking forward to hugging him and showing him her hot pink finger nails. We were first in line and all was looking good. Both kids were excited to see the bunny. Brendan ran up and put his head on the bunnies lap and gave him snuggles, MG ran up and showed of her nails and gave hugs. Could it be the perfect picture was coming?! Obviously not. As much as Madison loved the bunny she decided for what ever reason there was no way she wanted a picture with him. Even after the candy bribe she still was not having it. So we have a great pic of the boy with the bunny. I guess what matters is the experience she had and not the picture, but come on just once I want the picture too. :)

Busy Day

Ahhh spring has sprung and we had a fun busy Sunday with family and friends.

As you can see it started with some fun with mommies shoes. Brendan has had a bit of a shoe fetish ever sense he was tiny. I am hoping he chooses high end designer and not creepy guy :)

Last night we bought Madison her first real bike and she absolutely loves it. She was totally against pedaling and would get frustrated super easy, but now she is cruising along with no problem and even rolling up and down the drive way without much help. Some of the up hill starts still get her but she is really doing awesome with it. It is amazing what a princess bike does for your motivation to pedal.

This afternoon Madison got her first manicure. It was the neighbors birthday and about 15 little girls between 3 and 6 got their nails done. MG chose hot pink and got a daisy painted on each hand. She did great at sitting still and even waited for them to dry. She is excited to show Grandma and Grandpa in MI this weekend her fingernails. I can hardly believe how grown up she looks with hot pink nails. I will try and get a pic of the pretty nails to add later.

Better get some work done while everyone is in bed.

Air and space museum

A couple of weeks back I took the kids to the Air and Space museum. Madison absolutely loved it. MG thought the "rocket ship" was great (space shuttle) and loved going up to the observation tower. Her real favorites were the helicopters. Brendan was more interested in climbing around the stroller but seemed to think that the planes were pretty cool. You may also notice that MG no longer will just smile for a picture but also has to pose.

This is what happens when you are enjoying a cup of coffee with your girl friend and you realize that it is way to quite. You find 4 little monkeys on the windowsill.

MG at cooking class

Hi everyone,

Today was our last day of cooking class. This is a class that Madison has taken multiple times and really enjoys. Brendan goes to the gym daycare and Madison and I get to enjoy some together time. Today we made lollipop sugar cookies, which is always a favorite. Brendan ate one on the way home. I had to take it out of his hand to get him out of his car seat and he proceeded to yell and tell me "mine". Yes, "mine" is one of his new words. Daddy is also a big fan of the lollipop cookie.

Madison is also now refusing to wear anything but skirts and dresses. Which is a bit difficult right now as it is still very cold outside. She also likes to change outfits at least 3 times a day. She really is a silly princess. We bought new summer sandals yesterday and she said "Thank you for my new sandals mommy, you are the best mommy in the whole world" I hope I can maintain my position as the best mommy in the whole world for a couple more years.
